The Color Bar

Transitional periods have always been interesting me. One of the most interesting periods to me is the transition from Black and White Television to Color. To me there was a certain grace to the old T.V actresses when they were in Black and White. I don't really know how to describe it but when you think of the old T.V housewives they gave off an aurora of foundation and not necessarily power but rather a strong will. They were the beauties of the household life. They lost a part of this grace during this transition. And my goal for this project was to represent their changing by integrating them with the all familiar Color Bar.
