Every Emotional Dream Warrants an Emotional Response.

Every emotional dream warrants an emotional response from it's dreamer. Sometimes to try and capture the dream's sheer authenticity into a tangible piece of work one can encapsulate it with the use of language and words. Dreams are so visual to me. So usually, the hardest things to remember are the actual words spoken by the subjects within a dream. When the subconscious naturally projects these curious images, consciously, when awakened, I automatically jump to the nearest pen and paper I find in my room. I feel obligated to unravel this narration in my head to a set of thoroughly thought out sequence of events.

Basically I re-write my dreams as best as I can. Unfortunately, you can never capture the raw essence and emotion you experience while dreaming. It's the emotional response that is always re-rendered through your conscious thoughts when awakened. To try and contradict this notion, which is (I guess) the human side of me, I will never give in on trying to depict these raw emotions. I will reflect them through my writing and my art.

I experienced a real doozy last night. Man, I honestly didn't want to wake up. And you will know what I mean when you read this segment of a short story I am about to share with you. I share this with you hoping that someone will experience an emotional response the same way I did when I first woke up this morning. This is just a little part of a short story (along with a complete analysis), I have begun to write about.

"As if the red lips she dauntlessly wears on her face will permanently provoke an unwanted scene of escapism between us two, a kiss will not mark the moment we have found ourselves in.

She is aware. I am aware.

The sea air sweeps through the deck like a mythological force letting us know that the feelings we are experiencing

when our eyes envelope each others are not drifting on the clouds of immortality's feat to it's own kingdom.

They are buried.

The embrace she gives me doesn't lift my assurance.

No.

But rather, her arms and her feet solidify my soul the way an old tree grounds an abandoned house.

The house ceases to discontinue it's own existence in this world as the branches reach the broken windows.

Each rainfall will spark growth.

Not Rust.

She opens her self back up and I get a good look at her."

Yeah I know. Kind of mushy. Kind of gay for a dude to be writing about. But really, I don't give a fuck. Again this is my emotional response: very cinematic and very visual (just like the dream). I encourage others to look deep within to find true inspiration (though it's really fucking hard haha). Then of couse afterwards, to take advantage of it, and CREATE.
